History Of Badeyogi Deo

Badeyogi Deo is Brahman by caste and is the priest of Mahu Nag. He lives on Badyog Hill and is believed to have created the Ghangar forest near Tattapani, which previously was a mountain in the Bhajji State and was brought to Suket by this god. When the mountain was removed from Bhajji, it contained a huge treasure, which was also transferred to Ghangar Forest.

It is reported that people in the neighborhood of this forest have many times found some old coins in the forest. It is also said that when the god worked the great miracle, the Sutlej became dry and remained so for many days. By worshipping this god, the people are cured of smallpox. This god has a son living at Sahajand.

20 गण, 84 कला संपन्न देव बडयोगी जी महाराज की कोठी मडीयोनी करसोग में है। देवता बडयोगी जी को गुरु द्रोणाचार्य का अवतार माना जाता है। इस गांव में देवता का मोहरा स्वयं-भू है। एक बार एक किसान अपने खेत में हल चला रहा था। हल चलाते-चलाते किसान को मोहरा मिला। किसान उस देवता के मोहरे को पकडऩा चाहता था, जैसे ही वह उसे पकडऩे जाता उसी समय देवता का मोहरा अपना स्थान बदल कर आगे चला जाता।

इस प्रकार की प्रक्रिया कई घंटों तक चलती रही, फिर किसान निराश होकर बैठ गया, तब आकाशवाणी हुई, ‘मैं ब्राह्मण देवता हूं और तूं अभी अशुद्ध है पहले सात बार स्न्नान कर आ फिर मैं तेरे पास आऊंगा। मैं 20 गण 84 कला संपन्न, नवग्रह वचन और अस्त्र-शस्त्र और 36 प्रकार की व्याधियों का भंडारी हूं। तत्तापानी-करसोग मार्ग पर तत्तापाणी से लगभग तीन किलामीटर दूर सरौर खड्ड में एक गुफा है, जिसमें प्राकृतिक शिवलिंग स्थापित है।
